Columbia Police
Jan. 3
Columbia police and fire department personnel assisted St. Louis County agencies at about 4 a.m. after a distressed woman was on the ledge of the Missouri side of the Jefferson Barracks Bridge on I-255. The Columbia Volunteer Fire Department launched its rescue boat on the river in case the woman decided to jump from the bridge. St. Louis County police were successful in talking the woman from doing harm to herself and she was transported by Mehlville (Mo.) EMS to Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis County for evaluation.

Gavin M. Savant, 25, of Columbia, was arrested on an in-state warrant for manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance.
Jan. 9
Steven M. Frierdich, 42, of Columbia, was charged with criminal damage to property and assault following an incident at The Barn, 318 N. Main Street.
Monroe County Sheriff
Dec. 21
Faye E. Mudd, 63, of Red Bud, was arrested shortly after 11 p.m. for DUI on Kaskaskia Road near Route 3.
Dec. 31
Samuel J. Mercer, 28, of Waterloo, was arrested in the 100 block of Fairway Drive in Waterloo on a Monroe County warrant for battery.
Jan. 5
Joshua P. Gansmann, 35, of Cahokia Heights, and Kirsten L. Santen, 37, of St. Louis, were both arrested on Monroe County warrants on I-255 southbound. Gansmann was also charged with driving while license suspended.
Jan. 6
Emergency personnel responded shortly after 9:15 p.m. after a truck struck a utility pole on HH Road at Gall Road in Waterloo. A 16-year-old female driving a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado was traveling west on HH Road at a sharp curve and driving too fast and lost control, striking the pole. Neither the driver nor her 17-year-old female passenger required medical transport from the scene.

Emily N. Jackson, 28, of Troy, was charged with unlawful visitation interference (three or more violations).
