Pearl A. Stechmesser

Pearl A. Stechmesser (nee Rusteberg), 91, of Waterloo, died March 2, 2013, in Waterloo.
She was born Nov. 3, 1921, in St. Louis, daughter of the late William and Adelheit Rusteberg (nee Jehling).
She was married to the late Edwin J. Stechmesser.
Mrs. Stechmesser was a member of St. John United Church of Christ, Valmeyer, and the Waterloo VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
Survivors include her son Arlin (Diane) Stechmesser; grandchildren Shane (Leanna) Stechmesser, and Brad (Christine) Stechmesser; step-granddaughter Amy Elder; and great-grandchildren Nikolas, Christian, Olivia, Garret and Gracie Stechmesser; along with nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was March 5, at Quernheim Funeral Home, Waterloo, and March 6, at St. John United Church of Christ, Valmeyer.
Funeral services were March 6, at the church, Pastor David Riebeling officiating.
Interment followed at St. John Cemetery, Valmeyer.
Memorials may be made to St. John United Church of Christ, Valmeyer, or Hospice of Southern Illinois.
