Paul L. “Skeet” Burnett

Paul L. “Skeet” Burnett, 73, of Waterloo, died Oct. 4, 2015, in St. Louis.

He was born Dec. 20, 1941, in St. Louis, son of the late James M. and Lillian Burnett (nee Agnew).

He is survived by his children Christina (Robert) Gurka, Paula Branson, and Cherie (Mike) Pegg; grandchildren Kelli (Josh) Dodd, Courtney Isaac (Adam), Jenna (Greg) Heidenreich, Adam (Dana) Vogt, Travis Branson, and Britney, Brandon, Nathan, and Ashley Pegg; great-grandchildren Austin, Caden, Aubrey, Aspen, Haiden, Drew, and Nathan; great-great-grandchildren Bentley, and Lily; sisters and brothers Helen (John) Glore, James (Josie) Burnett, Charles (Teresa) Burnett, John (Kathy) Burnett, and Marie (Ken) Mann; nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather Robert Watson; sister Margaret (Raymond) Wilcox; and son-in-law Bill Branson.

Visitation is Oct. 7, from 2 to 8 p.m., and Oct. 8, from 9 to 11 a.m., at Quernheim Funeral Home, Waterloo.

Funeral services will be Oct. 8, at 11 a.m., at the funeral home, Pastor Matt Friz officiating.

Interment followed at St. John Cemetery in Valmeyer.

For funeral procession hot rods and Harley-Davidsons are welcome.

As an expression of sympathy memorials may be made to the family.
