Ashley Oberto of Waterloo and Thomas Cherry of Oakville, Mo., have announced their engagement and upcoming wedding.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Kathy Oberto and Greg and LouAnn Oberto of Waterloo. She is a graduate of Waterloo High School and McKendree University, where she received her bachelor’s degree in social studies.

She is currently the life enrichment coordinator at Garden Place Senior Living.

The groom-to-be is the son of Dean and Shari Cherry. He is a graduate of Fox High School in Arnold, Mo., and Hickey College, where he received his bachelor’s degree in business management.

He is currently employed in legal video production with Midwest Litigation.

They are planning a Nov. 7, 2014 wedding.
