Nancy J. Riley | Obituary
Nancy J. Riley (nee Madden), 69, of Waterloo, died April 27, 2016, in Waterloo.
She was born Dec. 23, 1946, in St. Louis, daughter of the late Joseph and Helen Madden (nee Troutman).
Nancy was a member of Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Waterloo. She was retired from Walmart and Hallmark, and she volunteered at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic School and church.
Nancy was a proud and kind-hearted woman, who had an adventurous spirit and loved to travel. Her greatest joy was her family, as she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and they all loved her greatly in return.
She is survived by her husband Michael E. Riley; children Patrick (Dina) McDonald and Angela (Martin) Mertz; step-children Laura (Kevin) Montagne, Richard Riley, Timothy (Holly) Riley, and Shawn (Jennie) Riley; grandchildren Ashley Johnson, Danielle Johnson, Sierra Mertz, Zachary (Mandi) Dillon, Ryan McDonald, Bryon Cavolo, Matthew Montagne, Joshua Montagne, Blake Riley, Madilyn Riley, Connor Riley, and Evelyn Riley; sisters and brothers Richard (Carol) Madden, Annette (David) DeBourge, Kathi (Richard) Trent, and Anna (Arnold) Juelfs; and sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Raymond McDonald, and sister Carolyn Braun (nee Madden).
Visitation is Friday, April 29, from 4 to 8 p.m., and April 30, from 7 to 7:30 a.m., at Quernheim Funeral Home, Waterloo.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated April 30, at 8 a.m., at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Waterloo, Rev. Sebastian Ukoh, C.M. officiating
Interment will follow at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery, Waterloo.
