Multi-vehicle crash on Route 3 in Columbia

Columbia police, fire and ambulance personnel responded shortly after 3 p.m. Friday to a multi-car crash with injuries on Route 3 southbound at Valmeyer Road near Columbia Middle School.

The vehicles involved included a white Saturn driven by a female and a black Dodge Charger driven by a high school student. Firemen extricated an occupant from the Saturn, and at least one person involved in the crash was transported to St. Anthony’s Medical Center in St. Louis County.
