Emergency personnel responded about 5:55 p.m. Sunday to a motorcycle crash on Route 3 near Hanover Road just north of Waterloo.

Police said a 2013 Harley-Davidson driven by Nicholas A. Shrum, 35, of Waterloo, was traveling south on Route 3 at a high rate of speed when a vehicle started to move into its lane, forcing the motorcycle off the roadway. The bike overturned into the median, ejecting the driver.

Shrum refused medical transport at the scene. He was cited for reckless driving.
