A Fults woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash that occurred shortly before 4 p.m. Monday on Route 3 near Select Fuel just west of Red Bud.

Police said a 1993 Saturn driven by Michael Sanders of St. Louis pulled out onto Route 3 in front of a 2012 GMC driven by Linda Hirsch of Fults.

Hirsch was transported by ambulance to St. Anthony’s Medical Center in St. Louis County for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash.

Traffic was tied up for about an hour as emergency personnel handled the accident. Sanders was cited for failure to yield.
