Minor injury halts WHS homecoming parade

The Waterloo High School homecoming parade was halted briefly Wednesday evening when a WHS student riding on a float in the parade apparently got his foot caught on a moving trailer wheel near the courthouse, injuring his foot and ankle. Monroe County EMS treated the injured student and transported him to an area hospital. The parade resumed following the delay.

There was another report of a female student having her foot run over by a trailer wheel at the beginning of the parade.
