The Republic-Times Team of the Week is Millstadt VFW of the Mon-Clair Baseball League. Millstadt defeated the St. Louis Spikes in the best-of-three championship series last week to claim the playoff title.

It is the first time that Millstadt has won the league playoffs. They lost game one, 4-1, on Sunday before battling back to win 7-2 and 9-3 last Wednesday in Fairview Heights.
