Meth dealer back to prison
A Waterloo woman will be spending some time in prison for dealing methamphetamine.
Kari L. Trankle, 40, was sentenced last week in Monroe County Circuit Court to 12 years and six months in The Illinois Department of Corrections, to be served at 50 percent and with credit for 274 days served, for meth delivery (15-100 grams).
Trankle was arrested with two others last June during the execution of a warrant at a residence in the 5600 block of LRC Road.
The warrant came about following lengthy drug investigation which revealed narcotics being sold from the residence in addition to a stolen dirt bike and a stolen four-wheeler.
Trankle has several prior convictions – including some for meth possession. In August 2019, she was sentenced to four years in prison (with credit for time already served) for bringing contraband into a penal institution. She was recommended for placement in a substance abuse program at that time.
Also arrested in the June 2023 raid were Ashley F. Keeney, 33, and Cody L. Baker, 35, both of Waterloo.
