Dupo High School basketball player Megan Brown is this week’s Republic-Times Athlete of the Week.

She recently advanced to the IHSA state three-point shootout based on her performances at the regional and sectional levels. Brown, a junior, also qualified for the state three-point shootout last season. She averaged 11 points and 9.2 rebounds per game this season for the Tigers.

Brown advanced from the Dupo Regional on Feb. 11 by making seven shots, then made 10 shots at the Trico Sectional on Feb. 18 to advance to state, which takes place Feb. 25-26 at Red Bird Arena in Normal. (submitted photo)
