Marvin & Carolyn Henry

Marvin and Carolyn Henry of Waterloo celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with family and friends at Acorn Golf Links on Nov. 24.

Carolyn Rodenberg and Marvin Henry were married at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Renault by Pastor A. Deichmann on Nov. 17, 1962.

The Henrys were blessed with three children: Lisa (Pat) Huebner, Michael (Tina) Henry, and Scott (Courtney) Henry, and five grandchildren: Sheldon Hoefft, Colton Henry, Brannen and Griffin Henry, and Mikayla Hoefft, who departed this life on Aug. 12, 2011.

Marvin retired from Valmeyer Community Unit School District 3 in June 2004; Carolyn retired from First National Bank of Waterloo on Dec. 31, 2009.

Tammy is an award-winning Graphic Artist for the Republic-Times. She has worked at the newspaper for almost 15 years, while her and her husband Norman, of 34 years, are owners of Sunderman's Garage in Columbia. She enjoys photography and her five grandchildren.
