Marion Cochran

Marion Cochran, 75, of Jackson, Tenn., formerly of Waterloo, died Sept. 16, 2015, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.

He was born on Feb. 4, 1940, in Obion County, Tenn., son of the late Felix and Mary Ellen Cochran (nee Bumpious).

He married the former Carole Woody on Oct. 20, 1962; she survives him.

He was a retired bus driver for Gulf Transport and Greyhound Bus Lines and was a Mason and a U.S. Air Force veteran.

Mr. Cochran is also survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Donna and Mark Marchwinski, Judy and Perry Tiemann, both of Waterloo, and Mary Ellen Mills of Jackson, Tenn.; nine grandchildren and their spouses, Dennis Marchwinski, Sharon Marchwinski, Nathan and Erika Marchwinski, Adam and Monika Tiemann, Brooke Tiemann, Kelsey Tiemann, Alyson Varga, Aaron Varga and Noah Comstock; three sisters, Joella Parrot of South Fulton, Tenn., Ouida Tuck and Lois Sullivan of Union City, Tenn.; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Wayne Cochran of Union City, David and Patricia Cochran of Southaven, Miss.; his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Margaret and Bill Smith of De Soto, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his son-in-law Brent Mills; five sisters, Greer Owens, Geniece Ragsdale, Grace Arnn, Rebecca Pinion and Jeanette Thurmond; and five brothers, Graden Cochran, Guinn Cochran, Ellis Cochran, Claude Cochran and Larry Cochran.

Services were held Saturday, Sept. 19, at White-Ranson Funeral Home in Union City, Tenn., with Phillip Pinion officiating.

Interment followed at East View Cemetery in Union City.
