Margaret A. “Marge” Francois (nee Kellerman), 72, of Waterloo, died Aug. 27, 2024, in Waterloo. She was born Aug. 6, 1952, in DuQuoin.

Marge was a member of Ss. Peter & Paul Church, Lion’s Club, VFW Auxiliary – Waterloo and volunteer at Monroe Actors Stage Company.

She is survived by her children Melanie Steiling and Jay Francois (fiance Erin Duke); grandchildren T.J. and Tristan Steiling, Gordon and Emilia Francois and Kaden Duke; sister Etta (Danny) Fann; brother Tim (Dana) Kellerman; sister-in-law Ruth Kellerman; nieces; nephews; and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her husband D. Michael Francois; parents James and Felicita (nee Fontana) Kellerman; and brother Steve Kellerman.

Visitation is 5-8 p.m.  Aug. 30 and 8-9:30 a.m. Aug. 31 at Quernheim Funeral Home in Waterloo.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Aug. 31 at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Waterloo with Father Linus Umoren C.M. officiating

Interment will immediately follow at SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery in Waterloo.

As an expression of sympathy, the family prefers memorial contributions to: MidAmerica Transplant; or Lion’s Club.
