Marcella M. Boehne, nee Kipping, 97, of Waterloo, died Aug. 11, 2024, in Waterloo. She was born April 4, 1927, in Monroe County.

She was a member of Ss. Peter & Paul Church, Waterloo.

She is survived by her children Melinda (Chuck) Faus, Bill (Linda) Dependahl, Jack (Mary Ellen) Dependahl, and Richard (Patti) Dependahl; stepdaughter Barb Steele; grandchildren Jenese (Doug) Huebner, Courtney (Brad) Schweickhardt, Emily Dependahl, Sarah (TJ) Smith, Kaylee Dependahl, Mark (Carol) Limestall, William (Rebecca) Limestall, Tim Breitenstein, Tammy (David) Garcia, Terry (Carrie) Breitenstein, Tyler (Kelly) Breitenstein and Todd (Breanna) Breitenstein; great-grandchildren Ian and Megan Huebner, Caden and Caleb Schweickhardt, Kate and Benjamin Smith, Nick and Nikayla Limestall, and Alex and Lizzie Limestall, Trey, Trent, and Cora Breitenstein, Violet and Jocelyn Garcia, and Wesley and Indy Breitenstein; nieces; nephews; cousins; and friends.

Marcella is preceded in death by her first husband Richard B. Dependahl; second husband Fred O. Boehne; parents August C. and Margaret (nee Mathews) Kipping; and brother Gregory Kipping.

Visitation is from 9:30-10:45 a.m. Aug. 13 at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Waterloo.

Funeral Mass is 11 a.m. Aug. 13 at the church, Father Linus Umoren officiating.

Interment will follow at Ss. Peter & Paul Cemetery in Waterloo. Arrangements are with Quernheim Funeral Home.

As an expression of sympathy, the family prefers memorial contributions to the donor’s choice.
