Man dies after falling into grain bin near Red Bud

A man died late Monday morning after falling into a grain bin filled with corn on a farm east of Red Bud in Randolph County.

Red Bud fire and emergency personnel responded to Guebert Farms, located at 6954 Griggs Road in Prairie, around 11:30 a.m.

Randolph County Coroner Randy Dudenbostel identified the deceased as Jeff Guebert, 44. Funeral arrangements are pending at Koch-Liefer Funeral Home in Red Bud.

A cause of the accident has not yet been determined.
