Lorine M. “Cookie” Liefer | Obituary

Lorine M. “Cookie” Liefer (nee Wolter), 84, of Waterloo, died May 18, 2013.

She was born Dec. 28, 1928, in Evansville, daughter of the late Louis Wolter and Selma Stamm.

She was married to Erwin W. “Erv” Liefer; he survives her.

Mrs. Liefer was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Waterloo.

Survivors include her husband; children Betty Lou (William) Schimpf, and Candace “Candy” (Randy) Bise; grandchildren Ryan (Kristi) Schilling, Chrystal (Chris) Luck, Nathan (Jennifer) Bise, and Tiffany Bise; and four great-grandchildren; along with nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother-in-law Vernon Bicklein.

Visitation was May 21, at Quernheim Funeral Home, Waterloo; and May 22, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Waterloo.

Funeral services were May 22, at the church, Pastor Tony Troup and Pastor Matt Clark officiating.

Interment followed at Waterloo Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church, Waterloo.
