Local softball standouts Jane Kaniecki and Karsen Jany are members of the Saint Louis University softball squad this spring.

Kaniecki, a Waterloo High School graduate, is a junior who plays first base for the Billikens. A second team all-conference selection last year, she is hitting .259 with 19 RBIs in 32 games thus far for a team that’s 21-13. 

Jany, a freshman utility player who graduated last year from Columbia High School, is 2-for-5 at the plate and has played in 21 games this season, scoring seven runs.

SLU competes in the Atlantic 10 Conference of NCAA Division I athletics.
