Lightning strikes Waterloo condo

The Waterloo Fire Department responded about 1:20 p.m. Monday to a reported lightning strike on the northern portion of the Station West condominiums off Lakeview Drive.

There were initial reports of smoke coming from the roof, but it had dissipated by the time emergency personnel arrived. There was visible damage to the roof due to the strike.
