Liefer-Zeigler

Melissa Marie Liefer and Thomas Allen Ziegler are pleased to announce their engagement.

Melissa is the daughter of Ron and Patti Liefer of Red Bud. She is a 2000 graduate of Red Bud High School and earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau in 2003, and a Master of Science in Education from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in 2008. She is employed as a fourth grade teacher at Gardner Elementary School in Waterloo.

Thomas is the son of Allen and Marilyn Ziegler of Columbia. He is a 2002 graduate of Christian Brothers College High School in St. Louis and earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Illinois College in Jacksonville in 2006, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Goldfarb School of Nursing at Barnes-Jewish College in St. Louis in 2008. He is employed as a critical care  and emergency trauma flight nurse for Air Evac Lifeteam.

The couple are planning a July 11, 2015, wedding at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Red Bud.
