Laura Christine Straub-Buckley, 38, born April 9, 1985, on Jan. 30, 2024, entered into heaven to be greeted by her step-father Bernard Kutz and grandparents Vernon and Ruth Frierdich.

Laura was an amazing and talented artist, a competitive runner and a lover of all animals and living things.

Rest in peace gentle soul.

Left to mourn and miss Laura are her husband Mitch; mother Geralyn Kutz; sisters Katie Stumpf and Kristin (Manny Gusman) Straub; nieces Hailey (Zack Kannewurf) Stumpf and Kayla Stumpf; nephew Adrian Gusman; uncles Tom (Cindy) Frierdich, Tim (Gail) Frierdich, Jim (Gina) Frierdich, John (Pam) Frierdich, Marty (Debbie) Oexner and Mike (Sherry) Straub; loving aunt and godmother, Maryanne (Mike) Wachtel; cousins, friends; and David Straub.

Visitation is 9:30-11:30 a.m. Feb. 6 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Columbia.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated following visitation at church. 

Interment will take place in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Columbia. 

In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be directed to Helping Strays of Monroe County.
