Lauren Kelley and Steven Poettker

Jerry and Marie (nee Beckerle) Kelley of Waterloo are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Lauren, to Steven Poettker, son of Richard and Elfrieda (nee Wilken) Poettker of New Baden.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Gibault Catholic High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a Master of Business Administration from Southeast Missouri State University, and she is a certified public accountant. She is employed as the project engineering finance lead at Emerson Electric, St. Louis.

The prospective bridegroom is a graduate of Wesclin High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Eastern Illinois University. He is employed as an intelligence officer with the Illinois Air National Guard, Springfield.

The couple are planning a November 2016 wedding at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Waterloo with a reception at The Falls, Columbia.
