Keeler and Brennen van Breusegen

The Republic-Times Athletes of the Week are twins Keeler and Brennen van Breusegen of the Columbia High School softball and baseball teams, respectively. Both earned all-conference honors for their amazing senior seasons with the Eagles.

Keeler van Breusegen, who will play softball at Bradley University, had a 32-game hitting streak this spring while hitting .461. She led the Eagles in hits (59), doubles (16) and stolen bases (18).

Brennen van Breusegen, who will play baseball at the University of Central Missouri, hit .398 with a .515 on base percentage, nine doubles, five triples, and a team-leading 45 runs scored. (submitted photo)
