The Republic-Times Athlete of the Week is Waterloo High School softball player Kasey Bradley. The ‘Dogs are off to a 4-0 start thanks in large part to the pitching of Bradley. She struck out seven in a 7-0 complete game win on Monday over Belleville East. She is also hitting .500 at the plate in the early going.

The Bulldogs play Valmeyer in the opening game of the Monroe County Tournament this Friday at 4:15 p.m., weather permitting. The games will be played at the Waterloo Sports Association fields.
