The Republic-Times Athlete of the Week is Gibault Catholic High School baseball player Kameron Hanvey. The sophomore catcher/shortstop stole two bases during the Hawks’ 12-1 win at Red Bud on Monday to set the school’s all-time season record for stolen bases with 29. Hanvey is hitting .338 with 25 runs this spring for Gibault (12-11). His stolen base total ranks seventh in the entire St. Louis area.
