Judy Branson | Obituary

Mrs. Judy S. Branson, 77, died peacefully July 18, 2016, at Sylvia’s Hospice House in Ocala, Fla.

Mrs. Branson was a retired registered nurse, where she specialized in oncology for more than 20. In addition to her career in medicine, her “other career” was as that of the wife of a Baptist minister, where she tended to countless families and individuals over the years. In every role, Judy was a beacon of bright enthusiasm and a bearer of genuinely unconditional kindness.

After retiring she moved with her husband from Columbia to Ocala, Fla., 10 years ago.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Rev. Don Branson; her daughter, Denise Walsh (Michael); her son, Rusty Branson (Page); and her three grandsons, Matt Cook, Tucker Branson and Sawyer Branson.

Local services will be held for Mrs. Branson Aug. 19, at the First Baptist Church of Columbia, with Rev. Jonathan Peters officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the First Baptist Church of Columbia Building Fund.
