Joseph O. Maul | Obituary

Joseph O. Maul, 72, of Waterloo, died Nov. 21, 2014 in St. Louis, Mo.

He was born Nov. 19, 1942 in St. Louis, son of the late Oliver Joseph Maul and Fern C. Boien.

He was the retired Chief of Police for the Waterloo Police Department and was a member of the Waterloo Optimist Club and Waterloo Police Pension Board.

He is survived by his wife, Janet S. Maul, nee Frieberg; sons Kenneth Maul (Sonia), Steve (Tiffany) Maul; daughter-in-law Beth Maul; grandchildren Jason Maul, Cassandra (Chris) Crase, Andrew Maul (Breanna Shoening), Nichole (Michael) Murphy, Ashley (Marc) Steibel, Robert Maul (Katie Beuton), Stephanie (Paul) Wynn; great-grandchildren Tyler Crase, Elia Crase, Aiden Steibel; along with sister-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Private family services will take place.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association.
