The Republic-Times Athlete of the Week is Waterloo High School wrestler Jordan Sommers (pictured at center). The sophomore is 5-0 on the season after winning the recent Civic Memorial Tournament in the 195-pound division. He is currently ranked in the top 15 in the state at his weight class. “(That’s) an unbelievable achievement, especially for a sophomore,” Waterloo head coach Chase Guercio said.
