The Republic-Times Athlete of the Week is Waterloo High School baseball standout Jordan McFarland.

The senior outfielder is hitting .569 this season with four home runs, 17 RBIs, 25 runs scored and 21 stolen bases for the 12-3 Bulldogs.

McFarland smacked home runs Friday against Collinsville and Monday against Jerseyville, and swiped eight total bases in two games last week against Triad and Highland.
