The Republic-Times Athlete of the Week is Columbia basketball player Jonathan Holmes. The senior is leading the 13-3 Eagles in scoring this season at 13.2 points per game, including a game-high 29 points scored during last Tuesday’s rivalry showdown at Waterloo.

Holmes scored 25 points Wednesday night in a loss to Belleville East, and added 15 points Thursday against Althoff.
