JoAnn Marie Oakley

JoAnn Marie Oakley, nee Osterhage, 75, formerly of Waterloo, died Aug. 25, 2013.

JoAnn was born Sept. 30, 1937, in East St. Louis, daughter of the late Wilbur and Alice Osterhage.

Over the years, she had lived in Waterloo, Fanwood, N.J., Toms River, N.J., and Port Jefferson Station, N.Y.  In addition to providing a nurturing home for her family, JoAnn had worked for Osterhage Construction Company, Zep Manufacturing and Airco Industrial Gases. She acquired her Bachelor’s Degree in 1992 from Kean University.

Survived relatives include her six children: Susan (Dennis) Daly, Debbie (Paul) McGuire, Bob (Magdala) Oakley, Randy (Barbara) Oakley, Mike (Patty) Oakley, and Steve (Maria) Oakley; 13 grandchildren: Julia, Austin, Mark, Mike, Tyler, Patrick, Erin, Kristen, Christian, Joshua, Caraline, Julia and Jacob; sisters Judy (Joe) Mathews and Bonnie (John) Wirth; brothers Bob (Sharon) Osterhage, Ken (Debbie) Osterhage and Keith (Bonnie) Osterhage; aunts Mildred Kerens and Cathleen Glessner and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation is 2 to 4:30 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Aug. 28 at Clayton Funeral Home in Kings Park, N.Y.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph RC Church, Kings Park, N.Y.
