Jerry Lee Schulte

Jerry Lee Schulte, 77, of Chester, died Dec. 25, 2012, in Chester.

He was born March 7, 1935, in St. Mary, Mo., son of the late Lester and Ada Schulte (nee Duvall).

Mr. Schulte was a retired carpenter and a member of the Catholic faith.

Survivors include his former wife of 39 years, Elaine Surman Schulte of Red Bud; children Connie Hall of Waterloo, Michael (Kim) Schulte of Hillsboro, and John (Twyla) Schulte of Red Bud; grandchildren Jonathan Nelson, Kristopher Schulte, Lauren Hall, Hope Schulte, Allie Schulte, Jackson Hall, Clayton Hall and Cameron Schulte; great-grandchild Tenleigh Schulte; sister Ina Mae (Paul) Wood of Perryville, Mo.; and companion Phyllis Wilhelm of Chester.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Joseph Roy Schulte.

Visitation and a memorial service were Dec. 29, at Pechacek-McClure Funeral Home, Chester, Father Gene Wojcik officiating.

Per Mr. Schulte’s wishes he was cremated. Interment followed at Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery, St. Mary, Mo.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois.
