The Republic-Times Athlete of the Week is Waterloo High School softball player Jane Kaniecki. The left-handed swinging senior is hitting .614 with a .662 on base percentage and five home runs, six triples, seven doubles, 28 RBIs and 29 runs. Kaniecki recently signed a letter of intent to play softball at Saint Louis University.
