Mark and Christine Schilling of St. Louis announce the birth of their son, Ian Mark Schilling.

He was born Oct.18, 2013, at 8:24 a.m., at Missouri Baptist Medical Center, St. Louis. He weighed 9 pounds, 5 ounces, and was 21.5 inches long.

He was welcomed to the world by siblings Alex and Nichole Prodes, both 10.

His paternal grandparents are Don and Janet Schilling of Waterloo. Maternal grandparents are Thomas Finley of Los Angeles, Calif., and Janet Finley of St. Louis.
