IDOT announced that there will be northbound and southbound lane restrictions on I-255 between I-70 and the Jefferson Barracks bridge in St. Clair and Monroe Counties. Work will begin Monday, Sept. 22 and will be completed by November 14, weather permitting. These lane restrictions are necessary to complete pavement repairs.

Travelers are advised to consider alternate routes or allow additional time to travel. Speed limits will be reduced to 45 mph in work zones. IDOT asks that all motorists be patient, reduce speed, and exercise added caution when traveling near and throughout these work zones.
