Historic vote approves gay marriage in Illinois

Tuesday was a monumental day in Illinois state history as lawmakers voted to approve marriage for same-sex couples. Thousands sat in anticipation by their computers as they waited for the votes to come down and the news to break. Governor Pat Quinn is expected to sign the bill into law, which will make Illinois the 15th state to legalize gay marriage.
