Andrea Hess and Derek Storm of Westminster, Colo., announced their engagement and upcoming wedding.

Andrea is the daughter of William Hess, and Katie and Allan Duncan of Effingham.

Grandparents of the bride-to-be are Bill and Barb Hess and the late Lucille Hess of Mason; and the late Harry and Joan Adams of Effingham.

The bride-to-be is a 2005 graduate of Effingham High School and a 2009 graduate of the Lakeview College of Nursing with a bachelor of science in nursing.  She is employed as a cath-lab registered nurse at Presbyterian/St. Luke’s Medical Center in Denver, Colo.

Derek is the son of Dave and Debby (Kleinschmidt) Storm of Effingham.

Grandparents of the groom-to-be are Helma (Stemler) and the late William Kleinschmidt of Columbia; and the late Rip and Lila Storm of Strasburg.

The groom-to-be is a 2003 graduate of St. Anthony High School and a graduate of the University of Illinois and Indiana University School of Optometry.  He is employed as an optometrist.

A June 21, 2014 wedding is planned for St. John’s Lutheran Church in Effingham.
