Herman A. “Art” Andrees
Herman A. “Art” Andrees, 86, of Columbia, died May 28, 2015, at his residence.

He was born Jan. 14, 1929, in St. Louis, son of the late Herman and Helen Andrees (nee Mosbacher).

Mr. Andrees was a U.S. Army veteran who served during the Korean War.  He retired from McBride Shipping in St. Louis.

He was a member of V.F.W. Post 7980 of Millstadt the Korean War Veterans Association and the American Legion.

Surviving are his two daughters, Kathy (Tony) Bilbrey of Florissant, Mo., and Theresa (Scott) Lee of Cameron, Mo.; three cousins, Eunice (Max) Warren of Smyrna, Tenn., Sharon (Ronald) Melicher of Bolder, Colo., and Colette (Walter) Rau of Columbia; and three granddaughters, Brooke and Makayla Lee and Noelle Bilbrey. He was also a dear cousin and friend.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the love of his life, Susanna Barnett, and cousin Rita McCassrey.

Visitation and a VFW Service were June 1, at Braun Family Funeral Home, Columbia.

Funeral services were June 2, at the funeral home, Father Donald Blaes officiating.

Interment followed at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Madonnaville.

Memorials may be made to the V.F.W. Post 7980 of Millstadt.
