Helen M. Senf

Helen Marie Senf (nee Christeson), 83, of Waterloo, died peacefully in her home on Oct. 12, 2015, in Waterloo.

She was born Oct. 18, 1931, in St. Louis, daughter of the late Walter and Juanita Christeson (nee Swiney).

A retired hotel executive housekeeper, Helen was a devoted member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and the V.F.W Post 6504 Auxiliary. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived and deeply mourned by her husband of 67 years, Floyd A. Senf; her children, Alan (Dellann) Senf, Joanna Hoffman, and David (Pat) Senf; her grandchildren, Erik (Trisha) Senf, Missy (Rich) Arko, Clair Hoffman (Dara Showrai), Paul (Michelle) Senf, Alison Hoffman-Han (Charles Han), John (Trista) Ohlendorf, Nicole (Adam) Perjak, Jessica (Josh) Gregory, and Keith Senf (Kellcie Livingston); her great-grandchildren, Nicholas Senf, Clara Senf, Samuel Senf, Ella Arko, Sidney Showrai, Conner Perjak, August Showrai, Zoey Ohlendorf, Ethan Perjak, Jakson Gregory, Sadie Ohlendorf, and Jase Gregory; her loving brother Frank (Beverly) Christeson; dear sister-in-law, Barbara Christeson (Paul); and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, as well as her brothers, James and Paul Christeson.

Visitation is Wednesday, Oct. 14, from 10 a.m.m to 1 p.m., at Quernheim Funeral Home, Waterloo.

Funeral services will be Oct. 14, at 1:30 p.m., at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Waterloo, Pastor Tony Troup officiating.

Interment will follow at Kolmer Memorial Cemetery, Waterloo.

As an expression of sympathy memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church.
