Harold Daugherty | Obituary
Harold Daugherty, 80, of Waterloo, died Aug. 15, 2024, in O’Fallon. He was born Feb. 22, 1944, in Red Bud.
He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church – Waterloo; Baker’s Local Union No. 4; retired from Continental Baking Company (32 years); enjoyed being Santa for all the children, gardening, building things and traveling (38 countries and all 50 United States).
He is survived by his wife of 56 years Donna Daugherty (nee Landgraf), married Aug. 1, 1968; children Dorothy Rodriguez and David (Judy) Daugherty; grandchildren Deborah (Tim) Joellenbeck, Heather (Cesar) Cabeza and Amanda (Edward) Jarvis; great-grandchildren Timothy “TJ” Joellenbeck, Zackary Cabeza, Michaela Beals and Jordan Jarvas; two step-grandchildren; five step great-grandchildren; brothers James (Ruth) Daugherty and (twin) Gerald (Julie) Daugherty; sisters Doris Hudson, Mary Daugherty, Margaret Klein, Charlene May, Barbara Kleine, JoAnne Hertzler, Elizabeth Valois, Judy Vogt and Patricia (Jerry) Humes; many nieces and nephews.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents Charles E. and Elvera (nee Haudrich) Daugherty; brothers Edward Daugherty and Richard Daugherty; sister Pauline Mollet; and sister-in-law Diane Landgraf.
Visitation is 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Aug. 25 at Quernheim Funeral Home in Waterloo.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Aug. 25 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Waterloo with Pastor Brian Downs officiating.
