Laura Gjerswald and Patrick Bourgeois of Waterloo have announced their engagement and upcoming marriage.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Sheryl Gjerswald-Sanders and Rob Gjerswald. She is a graduate of Waterloo High School and Southwestern Illinois College, and is employed with U.S. Bank.

The prospective bridegroom is the son of Louie and Trish Bourgeois. He is a graduate of Waterloo High School and Southwestern Illinois College, and is employed with Lucas Updates as a subcontractor.

The couple are planning a Sept. 9, 2014, wedding.
