Gibault Catholic High School graduates its Class of 2013

Gibault Catholic High School in Waterloo held its annual commencement May 20 in the Hustedde Gymnasium, awarding diplomas to 47 members of the Class of 2013.

Martin Witges, the son of James and Shanna Witges of Columbia, was valedictorian. He plans to attend Saint Louis University and major in engineering.

Salutatorians were Alexander Dickinson and Daniel Kuester.

Students earning college scholarships and those named Illinois State Scholars and National Honor Society members were recognized during the ceremony, which was presided over by Belleville Diocese Bishop Edward K. Braxton.
