Gas line struck in Columbia

The Columbia Fire Department responded about 9:25 a.m. Monday to a residence in the 200 block of Oak Tree Drive in Columbia after someone struck a gas line near the home with an excavator.

Firefighters on scene reported there was gas seepage detected inside the residence as a result of the incident.

Ameren was contacted to respond to the scene.
