The Waterloo Pizza Hut at 903 N. Illinois Route 3 is being evacuated because of a supposed gas leak. Patrons in the restaurant were complaining about not feeling well due to the gas. Waterloo Fire Department, EMS and City Gas Department have been dispatched to the scene.

UPDATE, 6 p.m. – City utility departments are still in the building inspecting. The ovens appear to have shut off automatically when gas service was disrupted. WFD Chief Mark Yeager gave the “all clear” for the building, but a store manager said she was unsure of whether or not the restaurant would reopen today.
