The First National Bank of Waterloo Farmer of the Week is Garrett “Hawk” Hawkins of Peep-Hawk Farms Inc. in Valmeyer. He oversees corn, soybean and wheat production. Hawkins graduated Valmeyer High School in 1998 and studied agricultural education at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He is also the Valmeyer Volunteer Fire Department Assistant Chief. Hawkins has been a full-time farmer since 1998.
