The Illinois Department of Transportation announced a right lane closure on northbound I-255 south of Route 157 near Cahokia on Friday, Dec. 10, from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., weather permitting.

These restrictions are needed to perform essential deck repairs on the structure, IDOT said, with IDOT’s District 8 Operations making any needed improvements.

Full access will be restored as soon as possible, IDOT said.

Motorists can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area.
