A two-vehicle injury crash occurred Friday morning on Route 3 at North Main Street in Columbia.

Police said a 1994 Ford Ranger driven by Donald Matzenbacher, 71, of Waterloo, was turning left onto Sand Bank Road from northbound Route 3 at about 10:40 a.m. when it collided with a 2011 Kia Forte driven by Nicole Huch, 38, of Waterloo, which was traveling south on Route 3.

Matzenbacher and Huch were both transported by ambulance to St. Anthony’s Medical Center in St. Louis County for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash. Matzenbacher was cited by Columbia police for failure to yield turning left.

The crash scene was completely cleared shortly after 11:20 a.m.
