he Village of Maeystown will hold a Halloween celebration Oct. 30 beginning at 4:30 at the Maeystown Civic Association Park. A hayride at 5:30 p.m. will take the children up to St. John United Church of Christ, from where trick-or-treating will commence throughout the village back to the park for more food and s’mores.

Holy Cross Lutheran Church of Wartburg, 5765 Maeystown Road, will hold a trunk-or-treat from 5-7:30 p.m. Oct. 30. For more information, call 618-939-7094.

Hecker’s Halloween Kick-Off Party begins at 4:30 p.m. Oct. 31. at the Hecker Community Center. There will be a costume contest and games open to kids 14 and under. Free food will be served.

Mike’s Service and Convenience, 522 S. Meyer Avenue, will be the center of Halloween night festivities in Valmeyer. The store will have hot dogs, chili, chips and soda from 5:30-8 p.m. A costume contest will be held at 7 p.m.

A Mother-Son Game Night is this Friday, Nov. 4, from 6-8 p.m. at Hope Christian Church, 9273 Coach Stop Road, Columbia. The event features laser tag, a video game truck, music and more.
