The Waterloo Lions Club will hold a drive-by food drive for local food pantries this Saturday, Aug. 14 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Waterloo Rural King parking lot, 740 N. Market Street. Donors do not have to exit their vehicles and can have items in the trunk or hand donations through their car windows. Pantries are in need of fresh and canned meat, family-size cookie packages, chips and snacks, pudding, Jell-O and fruit cups, canned soup, salad dressing, pancake mix and syrup, peanut butter and jelly, toiletries and cleaning supplies.
